So, today is day 1 of the Making Mayberry blog. I have been thinking of doing this for some time now, and today is the day. The history behind this is my quest to make a simpler life: Like Mayberry, but a modern Mayberry. So, no, i don't want to move to a town in the middle of nowhere, but I do want to create a Modern Mayberry for my family, my children: a place where family trumps all, where dinner is served and eaten together, where week-ends are spent together and where my kids feel safe, loved, and important: a place called home. I hope to carve a few minutes now and then to post happy little tidbits of evidence that bits of Mayberry do exist, right here, right now, in the year 2010.
